⦁ Data and portfolio.
Our company is located in Flanders, Belgium. Our passion and compliant studies for Flemish artefacts from the 15th to the 17th century gave rise to the know-how to realize this project.

The portfolio we offer is exclusively made on the basis of extremely high data files. These data files have been digitally restored with care, working pixel by pixel.

The current techniques and software allow us to go further than museum restoration, as we can perfectly copy colorite and additions or corrections are never or become visible, due to differences in pigments and their specific discolourations over the centuries.

Our experts also remove disturbing factors caused by digital recordings such as white dots that are reflections of, among other things, air bubbles in the varnish.

Or underlying matters such as charcoal sketches, which, given the selection frequency of the black carbon used for underlying drawings, can break through in digital recordings.

Or excessive reflections of the white base chalk layer in the craquelures.
Also awkward earlier restorations, for example on the seams of split panel joints, of remaining brown varnish traces in the depth of the brushstrokes and ditto things are invisibly removed.

It is painstaking work that pays off, however, because in many cases we can say that what we can deliver to you is closer to the original than what you will see in museums or elsewhere. In other words, museum quality, which you will not find anywhere else. As if it came from the Master’s studio yesterday.

⦁ Reproduction techniques.
High-tech printing and artisan finishing go hand in hand to give our artifacts unparalleled quality in color, depth and overall appearance.

The use of printers with 11 color variants and 360 nozzles per color guarantees the most intense colors from the deepest black to the brightest white. And with a print resolution of 2880 × 1440 dpi, the smallest detail is kept razor-sharp.

We print on heavy paper of 100% cotton under pressure on a Dibond carrier, which gives a result similar to the oak panel used at the time with a white underlay based on chalk and glue. Only Dibond has no tendency to warp or expand and contract and is seamless in any size. Dibond consists of a polyethylene core and aluminum front and back plate.

The finishing of each masterpiece is done manually.
The glued print is first saturated with vegetable oils and turpents. Afterwards, a glossy or satin varnish is applied in several layers, which intensifies the color and brings out the depth of the composition to its fullest. Furthermore, this finish provides dust and UV protection.

⦁ Our offer.
Our portfolio only includes works that we can reproduce without loss of quality on a relevant, often also the initial, size. Each work of art can be adjusted to larger or smaller at the request of the customer while maintaining the scale ratio.

Our offer is divided into Landscapes, Marines, Still life, Genre scenes, Portraits, Allegories and Mythological and religious scenes.

If you do not find what you are looking for within the offered portfolio, you can always contact us without obligation, and we may be able to help you in your search as our databases are constantly updated.
